Setelah Google memberikan update Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 terbaru yang nantinya akan dilanjutkan oleh setiap vendor seperti Samsung, Sony, Motorola, LG, dll ternyata banyak sekali laporan jika Wi-fi bermasalah. Ini pun terjadi pada Samsung Galaxy Chat setelah melakukan update OTA (over the air) Jelly Bean 4.1.2 setelah itu tidak bisa terkoneksi, padahal device lain seperti Galaxy Tab yang masih menggunakan ICS ataupun Acer 501 yang memakai Honey Comb tidak ada masalah sedikitpun.

 

 Setelah mencoba beberapa cara dari setting manual IP address lengkap dengan DNS ternyata tidak menghasilkan juga. Berniat ingin membawa ke service center agar dikembalikan ke versi awal yaitu Android ICS tapi kok males. Akhirnya di forum ada yang mengatakan agar mencoba untuk mengubah mode security dari Wi-fi yang tadinya WEP menjadi WPA-PSK [TKIP]. Lihat juga cara meningkatkan sinyal Android
Bagi yang mempunyai router NetGear lebih simpel caranya, tinggal masuk ke routerlogin.net nanti akan ditanya user dan password. Kemudian cari Wireless Settings > pilih Security Options > WPA-PSK [TKIP]. Isi Security passphrase untuk password yang gampang diingat (8-63 karakter) > klik Apply.
